THE OVERLAND PREMIUM

The Overland came to us after the client was not happy with a previous proposal from another designer. We quickly developed two schemes based on the countryside that the train passed through. 

“The Coonawarra” reflected the leafy wine region of South Australia and “The Grampians” took inspiration from the grand mountain range of the South Western Victoria. 

Ultimately these were adopted into refurbishment schemes for Premium class and Standard class carriages, respectively. 

The design included custom seat fabric, all interior colours, carpets and soft furnishing, new custom luggage racks with reading lights, wheelchair areas and DDA compliant toilet modules.

We were then asked to extend the design to cover a full refurbishment of dining and café carriages.
