MASTER PLAN - AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF SPORT VISITOR CENTRE

Project Overview

The Australian Institute of Sport is the pre-eminent elite sports training institution in Australia. Their Sports Visitor Centre forms the public face of the Institute and receives close to one million visitors a year.

We provided an extensive Master Plan Strategy for the enhancement and development of the Sports Visitor Centre to increase the quality of interaction and improve the overall visitor experience. Further, the plans included extension to the Restaurant and Function Rooms and the establishment of a new Museum space.

By engaging with visitors more effectively and more immersively, the core purpose of the Institute is more fully represented and the messages of the Australian Sports Commission are communicated and supported in written and physical representation.

The staged Master Plan included assessment and recommendations for all facilities within the Sports Visitor Centre including: Displays, Exhibits and Memorabilia, Signage and Communication, Retail development, Function Rooms, Catering Facilities, Brand and Colour Style Guide, Signage Style Guide.

The Master Plan was designed to provide a detailed guide map for the sustainable improvement of the Sports Visitor Centre and to be used to understand, plan and commission ongoing works over 5 years.
