PALM BEACH PARKLANDS PLAYGROUND

Project Overview

For the Gold Coast Council we developed a truly themed playground that offers imaginative play, musical experimentation, skill challenges and exploration over a range of age groups, yet adheres to all and relevant standards and compliances.

Some of the features include:

Buried Treasure – We asked local school children to come up with their own concept of what was treasure for them and to make it in clay. With everything from favorite teddy bears to Nintendos as the result we then cast the children’s ‘treasures’ and fixed them beneath the sand of the playground for little treasure hunters to find.

Pirate Play – each element or piece of equipment was custom designed or selected to support the theme. We utilised for example such things as wooden barrels and ‘canons’ to create musical instruments and tunnels.
